BlackBerry

BlackBerry is popular smartphone, for use via either BlackBerry Enterprise Service (BES) or by BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS). BlackBerry Dual Service (BDS) is a service for one smartphone to use both BES and BIS. BES is typically used in the corporate world with a Microsoft Exchange Server. BlackBerry smartphone users can send/receives messages in almost realtime while away from the office. They are also able to synchronize the device with their Outlook, contacts and calendars.

By setting up BlackBerry Enterprise Server in Exchange environment, you can manage and control BlackBerry devices with customizable policy, such as remote lock, remote wipe, disable send/receive messages, limit application install, limit synchronization, etc.

BlackBerry Internet Service is typically for small-medium size corporate or for personal use. It does not require the customer to have Exchange or BlackBerry Enterprise Server. Instead it allows regular POP/SMTP/Web mail with BlackBerry device.
