ISA Server

ISA Server is a software based firewall. It does packet filtering, application/URL filtering, port forwarding, intrusion detection (block attacks such as port scan, ping of death), web cache proxy, also it can become as site-to-site VPN endpoint. Typically ISA server is placed in between external network and internal network, and let all traffic from internal network go through ISA server. The current version is ISA Server 2006, and next version will be Forefront Threat Management Gateway. This is a great solution for managing not only the outside security but internal as well.
